Make an Herbal Remedy Kit
Your entire body is very stressed while traveling, and airplanes can be a real health hazard. Recycled air carries a lot of bacteria, so it’s important to make sure your immune system is strong. If you catch something on the plane, you’ll start your trip on the wrong note.
It is helpful to take extra doses of vitamins and herbs to build up your immune system. This list is made up from herbs and vitamins I have found to be very useful.
Remember that our minds are programmed to take care of us. If red flags are waving in your mind, take a moment to listen to what is worrying you, and when you hear the answer, pay attention.

About the New Book

I was first told to write this book about 6 years ago by my Guardian Angel. Perhaps it was the Travel Angel himself that was asking for a little help with the stress level at airports and on planes. I didn’t think it was strange, because I have been listening to inner guidance and writing down messages I have gotten all my life. I believe there are guardian angels watching over us, don’t you?

I once was talking to an airlines rep at United and asked him how come each flight was so full these days. He told me that they hire contractors to fill each plane to capacity. I couldn’t help but wonder to myself if God assigns angels to each plane that flies. If so that angel is sure working overtime and could use some help.

It took a year or so and then I released the first book, The Travel Angel Handbook in 2012. I followed that up with my weekly travel show The Travel Angel, which I broadcast from Maui. I have taken many trips since then and have given away some of my books on flights where people were very afraid.

A lot has happened in the world since then. It seems we hear stories in the news everyday about someone freaking out on airplane. The are many stories of Air Rage, new rules that limit our already limited leg and arm room, and many more delays and cancellations
due to bad weather. The Dread of Flying has risen significantly in just 5 years.

Wikipedia says this about Air Rage:
Air rage generally covers both behavior of a passenger, that is likely caused by physiological or psychological stresses associated with air travel, or when a passenger becomes unruly, angry, or violent on an aircraft during a flight.

Many studies say the cause of air rage an include consumption of too much alcohol, drugs of lack of taking need prescription drugs. It also has been found when a group, such as a sport team, is going on a vacation tend to drink to much and want to start the party when they board the plane.

There is also the problem of people losing it because of anger and stress. People are angry at the airlines for many reasons. The airlines have made the economy seats much tighter with leg and arm room. The planes are more full than ever before due to the airlines making sure each flight is full. If the plane is not full they will even change the plane to a smaller one, and sometimes reserved seats are changed. There are also not enough flight attendants taking care of economy passengers and they can also be overworked and stressed out.

It helps if there are delays, as often happens these days, that airline personal inform people who are waiting what is really going on. And speaking of waiting areas, another suggestion is increasing terminal security so passengers will feel more comfortable closing their eyes to rest for a moment without constantly worrying about luggage theft. Increasing the focus on passenger comfort, both aboard the plane and in the waiting area, and offering something in return to make up for uncomfortable conditions is another way to enhance the traveling experience.

Cabin crew are trained to deal with disruptive passengers and to warn them of the consequences of their actions, which in many cases helps to calm the situation. But if the behavior persists, the aircraft may be diverted and the perpetrator arrested. I have seen that there can be a power struggle of sorts between some flight attendants who get angry if their instructions are not followed. So this is where communication skills really come in handy.
There is a much greater need now than ever, to have patience, a sense perspective and kindness to just get from one place to another. Another way to look at that is to see it as a chance to practice more compassion, understanding and goodwill towards others. You will find many well seasoned travelers have learned the trick of traveling well. Most of them have learned to survive by avoiding the pitfalls many occasional travelers make. They also have figured out how to fly in business or first class and that really does make a huge difference in your comfort level. Regardless if you fly first class or economy, you are all on that same plane together and its important to get along together and try to keep a good attitude to make the flight a good one.

I have revised and updated this new Travel Angel Book to include more prayers, meditations and thoughts on goodwill towards others. I feel it really is important in this day and age to say a prayer or two when you fly.  You might find that you really enjoy the way you feel with the energy of prayers and meditations. It will help you to relax, be inspired and to also sleep. I have seen time and again the power of prayer. I have seen miracles happen time after time. So I know the power of prayer and of meditation.

I also believe all the meditation and prayers in the world don’t make up for a little patience and kindness. Now more than ever kindness is needed when flying. Even with all the praying and meditating we do, if we can’t put it to use in our life it really doesn’t help. I set an intention for my day after I meditate and I write down any messages I may have gotten during my talking and listening to God. I got this message to share:

Just one act of kindness
 can open up the way
for one more act of kindness
to help others show the way

Kindness is a prayer we convey
By living with goodwill we may
bring God's goodness out through
And share loves amazing grace

Within our very soul
is this cosmic compass guides us
and aligns us with the North Star
and we find the path to follow

and each day we set our intention to create
a better world that we can make
and yes we can meditate and pray
and live with more loving kindness everyday

I always felt it would be good to be able to listen to this book while flying, so I am happy to know have this book as an audio book for you to listen to. It’s very soothing and easy to just close your eyes and go within and go to a state of calm and peace.
